Im running a tbird1.3g(266) on a A7M and 256 pc2100 Crucial.

The prob is when i up my FSB even as little as 1 mhz (134) it boots, goes into windows and then gives me registery error, and reboots.. Over and over till i change it back. What do i do. Is thier a bios setting im missing. Voltage issue.. Plz help.. What voltage are you running your Crucial mem at.. Also i have it set to 2.5-3-3..

Well, you can try running it at 133FSB for a while, relax and research it rather than posting that you need help RIGHT NOW, which is incorrect and antisocial because of it.

My guess is that there is something significant not setup right - 134 is an insignificant overclock.

What multiplier are you running the chip at, is it unlocked? Is it a 1.3 or 1.33 chip - the 1.3 chips are 200Mhz.

a locked 1.33? that's unusual. Where did you get it from?

Also I thought all 1.33s were AXIA, not Avia - are you sure someone hasn't passed you off a 1Ghz Avia Athlon B?

Check the core markings and make sure it says 1333 on it - it could still be marked up though... I'd take this into the cpu and cpu overclocker's forum's and see if anyone has any AVIA 1.33s....

If you run it a auto voltage, what actual voltage is supplied, and does the chip seem to run very hot? It sounds a little fishy to me unless you got a _really_ early 1.33.

What does a locked chip have to do with OCing your FSB? I don't think it can be locked at that frequency. AXIA vs AVIA: that is just the build.

Yes but my thoughts:

I believe ALL 1.33 Ghz Athlons are AXIA due to the stepping type and construction date.

If the CPU is locked, I _think_ all the 1.33s have shipped UNlocked.

If the cpu won't overclock, is AVIA, is locked, then maybe the guy has a ringer... It may be a locked AVIA 1Ghz 200FSB 10x multiplier chip marked up and sold as a 1.33Ghz - hence why it won't go any higher - maybe someone found a 1 that would do 1.33 and sold it at a profit...

I'm kinda curious to know where or what channels he got it from...

Well Hell!!! Look on the top of the chip. Does it say 1.333 and AXIA or AVIA. Also look at the L1 bridges. Is there space between them? If you don't know what I mean make sure your fan is on and plugged in, secure your case, go into bios upon reboot, set bios to default settings, save and reboot: Then enjoy your system. You may want to search around the net for articles on the subject now also if you are interested in learning.

I take it this recponse it to getfunk?

His original query was why can he not even post 134Mhz FSB on his 1.33G chip - and I started wondering if it is actaully a 1.33.

He's checked and is is AVIA but seems to say 1333, however it could of course be marked up.

He says it's locked - which is what a 1000Mhz Athlon Avia would be, same multiplier and everything.
