I need help fast (i3 6100 or i5 6500)

i need help im building my own pc and im on a tight budget
and im mostly looking for a nice gaming processor for 2017
should i get the i3 6100 with a evga gtx 1060 sc 3gb
or a i5 6500 with a evga gtx 1060 sc 3gb

Did you mean to list the same GPU twice? Of course if you choice is straight up between those two CPUs, then pick the better one (the i5). But normally on a budget a more expensive CPU has the trade off, leaving you less money for the GPU. That's a more difficult decision.

Is that what you actually mean to ask?

If your question was straight up between the i5 and i3... then of course the i5 is better, and is worth the extra cash if you can afford it.
