I need help finding a good SSD for my laptop

I've had many HDD in the past and all of them have failed on me in less than 6 months. So now I'm going to get an SSD because I've heard they last longer and they being fast is a plus. I want to get a 500GB SSD. What is the cheapest I can get an 500GB SSD for? Btw my laptops model is a ASUS ROG G751JY-VS71(WX)

Yes, there are "cheaper" ones. But that is probably the best price/performance drive.


And killing multiple HDD's in 6 months? You're doing something wrong.

I might have been a bit rough with my laptop, but the hard drives were very cheaply made TB drives. Also do you know a good service for backing up my drive? Was going to soon but then my drive died :/

I use Macrium Reflect almost exclusively.
This, of course, requires some other drive to hold the backup
