I need help for picking my computer

I am going to buy/build a video editing pc. My budget is around $1000. I will mostly edit on sony vegas, and record my screen. My focus is editing. I have no idea what parts to buy, and i need help. I need quite alot of space on the harddrive. I don't need a monitor, mouse, keyboard ect. Should I build it myself and watch tutorials? Or just buy a complete pc? Please include all parts
