I need help installing Aerocool Modern-V Fan Controller

Hi all, i'm in the process of installing the Aerocool Modern-V Fan Controller. My question is this. If i am going to just use the controller to operate fan speeds, do i just connect all fans directly to the controller and non to the motherboard?

Other than the CPU fan, yes, you would plug all fans you want to control with it through it - the motherboard does not need to be involved and may actually be happier not having to dole out power to peripherals (not really but it sounds good)

Ok. The Controller allows you to connect the CPU fan to it and it then has a connection to plug in to Mobo. So, aside from CPU all other fans go straight to Controller? Thank you for your response. As you can probably tell, this is my first attempt at installing a Controller. Cheers

I think you can also connect the CPU fan, just look at that

The reason I excluded the CPU fan from the controller is that I have seen on many controllers enough of a start-up delay that the system reports CPU fan error - it's not more than an inconvenience but I found it to be annoying enough I do not use a controller from the CPU header any more. Just a personal observation and may not be applicable to that controller as I have not used AeroCool controllers
