Hello i need help making a beast long lasting gaming and editing pc. I want it to be based around the 980ti unless thats not good. I would like it under 2k. One ssd and i have two hdds. Thanks and ddr4 and the new skylake or no ? Also i would like 2 or 3 monitors

Skylake/DDR4 really depends on pricing... for the most part I only recommend if pricing is similar. will check.

"2 or 3 monitors" is slightly vague. Maybe consider getting one nice high resolution one then possibly another one later if you decide it's really needed?

GSYNC:
I really want to recommend that though I doubt budget permits.

Other:
I'm assuming USD pricing. Making a build right now.

Haswell build: $1900USD (ignoring rebates etc): http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rMyw4D

The MONITOR is the really big choice.

Other: about GSYNC
I wanted to recommend something similar to an ACER PREDATOR:
GSYNC, IPS, 4ms, 2560x1440

Unfortunately these are:
a) slightly expensive
b) build quality issues

I suppose one option is to wait a bit longer as GSYNC monitors are reasonably new so I'm expecting another year to make a big difference in price and quality. Perhaps get a cheaper 23" 1080p monitor for now to use as a 2nd monitor later then get a good 1440p IPS GSYNC monitor later?

Seems amazing right? And it is... my problem is after reading through Amazon site as build quality is a bit low. Specs amazing, so it's not something the above REVIEWER can tell as his was probably just fine.

this is the build i will be running when i get the funds. This build only has one monitor because i already have 1 but i hope this helps you a bit trying to build your own pc.

Of your two builds what one would you recommend ? Is the i5-6600k build going to be more future proof then the 4690k? And are i5s good for editing or would it be better to invest in an i7 ? Also should i get a 850-1000w psu ? Lastly lol sorry for all the questions but should i get a full tower case for better upgrading in the future and more room to breath.

If you want something that'll help you create content like crazy for the years to come there is one option not many people will take, dual xeon cpu (used for better price) basically new motherboard and used cheap server ram.... You can usually get a pair of E5-2660's for less than 200$ 32 gb of server ram for 100$ and the rest comes to your choice but it would look something alike this https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/bombarde136/saved/Lz9gsY
