I just bought a 750 ti evga ftw...and I barely get 20 fps on fallout 4 at 1440x900

Current build:
Q6600 Oc to 3.0ghz
750 ti ftw
300w psu
5gb of ram ddr2

This is a oem hp dx2400..I did a tape mod on the cpu to get to 3.0ghz....I think it my psu that hold it back but I don't know I'm kinda of a newbie to computer gaming

Well, your Q6600 is nearly 10 years old, and the 750ti is considered the minimum for AAA games at 1080p. I think that's likely the problem. Fallout 4 really benefits from a fast processor like a 2nd-6th gen i5.

Hi,

Im pretty sure your gear is ok but can't cut it for fallout 4

here are the minimum requirements

Fallout 4 Minimum Requirements
CPU: Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent
CPU Speed: Info
RAM: 8 GB
OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Video Card: NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent
Free Disk Space: 30 GB

I am thinking that your your cpu is holding you back.
Also, your psu is borderline to power the GPU. You need at least a good 400 w.

I seem people use a q6600 with a 750 ti on youtube and got above 30 fps....i use fraps for every game.....i had a 1gb ddr5 7750 and i got way better performance...i think its the psu
