I need help picking a CPU for my MOBO and GPU

I want to upgrade my CPU from my current AMD APU 3400.
I have a Asrock A55M-HVS motherboard and an MSI GTX 650.
I want a quad core with at least 3.10 HZ. Any suggestions?

You can check your motherboard compatibilty list. It supports a8 3870k. If you wan't to upgrade to any better cpu you might have to also change your motherboard. And I would say to do so. But if you are on a limited budget then a8 3870k is fine for you.
it will not bottleneck your gpu, it can even handle gpus like hd 7870 without holding it back.
