I need help picking between two video cards for my currently unmodified emachines el1358-53

I need help picking a video card for Gaming. Right now its a tie between the

An answer soon would be appreciated as I have to order one within the week and i have to ship it out of the states to my country, so please help me as i wouldn't be able to return it if it didn't work or fit in my Emachines el1358-53, and THANKS IN ADVANCE.

With only the stock 220w power supply, neither is going to be a sure thing to work in your rig. Of the 2 of them, I would suggest going with the "new" tech and going with the R7. Both GPUs will perform similarly.

Well, if I was in that case I would buy a new power supply and the R7 240.

You should strongly consider a PSU upgrade as well. 220w is really too little. I would recommend a solid 500-550w PSU for future growth. You really could go as little as 400w with these GPUs as well. I recommend Seasonic, Corsair, and XFX PSUs. There are several other good brands as well.

What is your budget for a PSU upgrade, along with the GPU upgrade?

Your rig could work with either GPU just fine, for a period of time. However, for long term use, you will really be pushing it.

Make sure NOT to overclock the new GPU with the 220 w PSU (the emachines BIOS should not let you OC the CPU/memory). Also, keep you system interior clean and your airflow as unimpeded as possible.

Like I said earlier, both GPUs will perform similarly, but I would recommend the R7.

That one looks too large for that style of case, albeit a good choice for general use.

One like this one would fit and would drive either GPU just fine. Still, OCing would not be recommended.
