Question I need help please.

So im not a pc person. Im new to this site but i think everyone around here knows about pc shenanigans. ok. so i play fortnite. but one day my i decided to check my task manager and saw my cpu was at 3.9ghz. i am really afraid this will break my pc. I have NVIDIA inspector to boost frames and remembering pressing show overclock table. but i canceled it. did it do something to my pc? can someone help me out here. much appreciated thank you. oh and also i have a i5 9400-F.
