xghoststrike :
If anyone could help me remove this virus i acquired that could be great. I had accidentally ran an installer for I had believed was going to be music, I was wrong. I let the installer run until 1% till I realised i was making a mistake. i closed the program and immediately went to uninstall whatever I had started, in the list there was nothing new so i thought I saved myself before misfortune, again I was wrong. I have already ran a plethora of anti virus and malware removers being > CCleaner, ComboFix, Kaspersky quick scan - full scan, Malwarebytes, spybot Search & Destroy and also SpyHunter. All these individually found threats and fix/resolved them. but my problem still persist. My virus is web browser bound and makes my load up webpage to me "trustedsurf" and also when i click randomly sometimes a new tab opens in an ad, as well when i click a link, its in an ad, so i have to reclick the link. i had this virus before about 4 years ago on a shitty pc and my buddy ran all the previously listed programs and solved my problem. but that's not the case this time.
does anyone know of a very good virus removing program? If you do i would love a link or assistance with this...
I hope you learned your lesson.
NEVER load "free" security into your system.
NEVER load multiple security programs. It creates system conflicts.
NEVER load "free" programs, which claim to "fix" computers.
That being said (I hope you learned your lessons):
There IS a way to fix the problems, but NOT with "free" software downloaded from the internet.
Never do this again, it just makes the problems worse.
DELETE ALL "free"programs.
Not true, but reformat "might be" necessary at some point.
Priority ONE: is recovering ALL personal files...then backing these files up.
Do this BEFORE you re-format a hard drive. (if you have half a brain...)
1. Remove the hard drive.
2. Install this drive on a working computer, that has PROFESSIONAL anti virus software.
(DO NOT USE "free antivirus" from the internet)
3. Use the working computer to SCAN the bad drive.
4. Drag your files off the bad drive, and onto a backup drive (like a USB stick...etc...)
5. Now take the bad drive, and reinstall it on the first (infected) computer.
6. Install PROFESSIONAL antivirus if possible, and scan the affected drive.(DO NOT USE FREE ANTIVIRUS)
OR IF NOT ABLE:
A. Place Windows 7 disk in the drive...select "upgrade."
B. This reloads the operating system without erasing your files.
IF the problem still prevails:
7. BACK UP FILES as above FIRST.
8. NOW reformat the drive.
9. Then reload the operating system.
10. Now replace your files, from the backup above.
11. Use ONLY professional antivirus. DO NOT use free security downloaded from the internet.
I would recommend Kaspersky, or other all in one PROFESSIONAL security.
DO NOT load multiple security programs. It creates system conflicts.
DO NOT use "free" programs that claim to "fix" computers. Very bad idea.
THIS METHOD
has been used over and over, with 100% success.
Not a single file lost...all files recovered, ALL systems FIXED.
I hope you learned your lesson:
DO NOT use free programs from the internet. STOP being gullible.
Professional antivirus:
Delete existing security and free programs / turn off firewall
Install the antivirus, restart
Update the antivirus, restart
Scan entire computer
Professional antivirus will update itself several times a day.
Turn the firewall back on (or,) antivirus may control the firewall by itself automatically.
