First of all, hi everyone and I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe at home!

Soo I have these rams:

  • 2x4gb DDR3 800MHz PC3-12800 from G.skill (9-9-9-24)
  • 2x4gb DDR3 2400MHz Patriot PXD38G2400C11K Viper Xtreme (11-11-11-30)

I've tested both of these set of rams and both sets run perfectly fine as a single set but if I put in both sets my computer won't even start. I tried putting them in the slots in different order and nothing. If there is anything I could try to get both of these sets of ram running please tell me.

My specs:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k
  • Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-M PRO
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
  • Power supply: Thermaltake 750W

Thanks to any response

Solution
Mixing ram is always a mystery.
You MIGHT get it to work by installing the Patriot memory and manually setting timings to the Gskill settings. 1600 9/9/9/24
Reboot and test for stability.
Now install the Gskill memory and try to boot.
If no boot try 9/9/9/27/36 timings with a small voltage bump.
