i have a intel pentium g645 pulled out from a old pc but its still working fine. i had bought a brand new motherboard new ( ASRock B75 PRO3-M LGA 1155 Intel B75 HDMI SATA 6Gb). this motherboard does support 1600mhz ram and 2200MHZ at overcloc. but the cpu specs said it will only support ddr3 1066 mhz ram but 1066MHZ is pretty slow for me and I want 1600 MHz so will a 1600 MHZ ram work in my system or if it doesn't than i will have to buy a 1066 MHz ram and can I overclock this 1066 MHz ram

Solution
The mobo can, but it's the CPU that matters most and this CPU is rated to 1066 DRAM, can probably run 1333 w/ a little extra DRAM and MC (memory controller) voltage, 1600 I think would be stretching it
