I want to upgrade my gaming computer but I am not tech savvy, I need help in upgrading it. The computer I have was pre-built and not built by me . I do not have a high budget, only $150. I was wondering whether to upgrade my CPU or get a new graphics card.

Computer Specs:
Processor: AMD Fx-6300 Six-core processor
Installed memory: 8.0 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating system x64-based processor
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R7 250

I'm trying to increase my FPS for Starcraft 2

Solution

You would need a 430 watt psu , or higher .

Uninstall the graphics drivers
Take out the card you have .
Slip in the new card
boot and install drivers from the disk

If you're using your PC for gaming and don't have a graphics card, then that's certainly what you'd want to pick up with your $150. You could have a look around for a few good deals as prices for GPUs have gone down recently after the release of the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070!
