Question I need help with an upgrade

Hi I need advice I have a Z270 Killer SLI/ac, with 16 GB of ram and a kaby lake i5-7600w 3.8 processor. But I want to upgrade so I can play starfield when it comes out. So the question is will upgrading my processor be enough or do I need a new motherboard?

While if you were to go with the latest, 13th gen, and mid-range, e.g i5-13600K, performance boost would be like so,

Still, your current CPU is enough to play Starfield,

Here's what i do:

1. Wait until game launched and play it with your current rig.
2. If the game isn't good enough (e.g your CPU is too weak), then upgrade. Else-ways, save the money when CPU IS enough.

Starfield is a ways out. Last date I saw was December 2023. I wouldn't believe any system requirement info till it's closer to release.
