My components:
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 8C/16T, 4.20-5.00GHz, boxed
- G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO schwarz DIMM Kit 64GB, DDR5-6000, CL30-40-40-96, on-die ECC
- Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 7900 XTX Vapor-X, 24GB GDDR6
- MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WIFI (7D75-001R)
- be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 850W ATX 3.0 (BN344)
- Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Black
- KIOXIA EXCERIA PRO SSD 1TB, M.2 (LSE10Z001TG8)

Started putting together my new build yesterday And discovered that I have to flash my BIOS to theoretically get the CPU to work.
After I took all the components off the board again and unplugged everything except the 2 CPU connections and the mainboard connection

As described on the MSI site, I formatted several USB sticks to FAT32 MTR, downloaded the BIOS file and renamed it "MSI.ROM" and drag It on the root of the Sticks.
I couldn't manage to flash the BIOS with 4 different USB sticks. It keeps repeating.

- Insert the stick, turn on the power switch from the power supply and press the flash button. The flash LED flashes slowly a few times, then the RAM and CPU LED turns on while the flash ed still flashes. And that's it... nothing more happens... I left it running overnight because I read that for some it took over an hour for the flash to finish IT..

Unfortunately for me without success... Please help me..

try a different BIOS file, like version V13
Is the file in the root directory of the stick?

edit:
did you connect all power connectors to the PSU as well? There are two for the ATX main power connector to plug into the PSU and two for the two 8pin EPS connector (CPU)

is the motherboard inside a case or on the table? be sure nothing is shortening the board on the back

I'm at work right now, but I already had the idea of maybe getting a lower version...

Yes, extracted all Files, rename the non Text File and drag it into the formated FAT32 root

Yes, 2x 8pins on the CPU and 2 on the ATX connect

Then you are not be able to get into BIOS without flashing the BIOS with the flash button first.

a different solution would be to install a compatible CPU/APU and flash the BIOS with this one to support the 7800

did you try the CPU after trying to flash the BIOS?

Exactly that is my problem. I don't have another compatible CPU. My only chance is to flash the BIOS and then unfortunately it doesn't work
