I need help with dual screening

I need help with dual screening and this is my best place to ask.

Both of my monitors only have vga ports on the back but my computers graphics card is dvi, if I get a dvi to vga cable can I dual screen?

My graphics card is like this:

My monitors are 21" AOC E2270Sw

there are converters for dvi to vga, this should be no problem for hooking up to monitors

I bought a vga to dvi converter but when i used them i was having no power to the second monitor, my frind used his monitors with just a dvi to dvi cable and it worked but i dont want to have to go out to buy 2 new monitors and wanted to know if i can used just a dvi to vga cable

so your monitors run of of pc power instead of wall power? because if that is the case you are going to need an extra graphics card.

No both of my monitors run off wall power its just when I use a converter the extenction on my graphics card they is no power going for the graphics card to my monitor, The monitor is on a working just no image and I jsut want to know if i buy 2 vga to dvi cables will it work?

you want to have DVI to VGA watch out not VGA to DVI. its hard to notice on extension cables, but you migh be using the wrong cable. maybe someone you know has a DVI compatible monitor, you should test if the DVI ports on you GPU actually work.
