So I want to go for a Intel based PC - starting with i3/i5. I'm having trouble with creating it due to the many different choices I have - all the different parts I don't know which would be the best. My budget is strictly $1000 and I'm buying from UK. I want to run all the newest games at mid-high-ultra 60fps 1080p/900p/720p. I think I can do that by paying a bit less than $1000. I want the PC to be ready for an upgrade when I get more money for i7 - the motherboard has to be compatible with it.
Please advise me on the following parts - CPU (i3/i5 - which model - 4460/6400/6500))
- GPU (GTX 950/960/R7/R8)
- Motherboard (Z170/H170)
- If I need a CPU cooler
- I'm going to go for either 1x8/2x4 of RAM
- A good well ventilised case.
Please help, thank you.

Is your budget in dollars or pounds? This build equates to $1000.00 USD, but you could get a lot more if you meant pounds.

I have to fit in between £600-£650 unfortunately. Can you look at this build for me please too, thanks:
CPU: i5 6400
GPU: MSI GeForce 960 4GB (OC ready)
Mobo: Gigabyte Z170-Gaming K3
Memory: 8GB Crucial 2133mhz DDR4 (1x8) - would add one more 8gb stick after a few months.
Storage: 1TB SATA 6.0GB/s
Case: Corsair Carbide Spec-01
PSU: 450W Corsair VS
OS: Windows 10 Home (64-bit)
Sound Card: Onboard 7.1 Audio
Keyboards and Mice: Zalman M201R Gaming Mouse and K350M Keyboard
Total £655
Would you say this is a good build for the money? Also, I picked that mobo with the full intention of upgrading to an i7 after around 1-2 years after saving up. Would you say this build will do the job during that time with new games like Witcher/Fallout/BF1? Thanks.

That build looks OK with the exception of the PSU. If the XFX in my first post is not in the budget, consider using an Antec VP 450. Better quality than the Corsair.
