I have internet with a company called Consolidated Communications. I have called them time after time were they would run tests on my internet and every time it would mean, "We are sending out a technician to further investigate the issues.", and every time nothing ever gets solved. They say they solved the issues, but the same problem persists.

So basically my internet drops out about 4-5 times an hour. It is a twisted paired DSL connection, and I know the main thing everyone says is look into the wiring. I have done this. I have replaced the wiring to the house, all phone jacks, have filters on the phone lines even though we do not have a home phone, and even replaced all connections at the box were it comes in. Consolidated gave us a new router/modem. The Nexus Link 5631. They brought one brand new, and to single that problem out they replaced it with a new one.

And no matter how many times we call them this problem never gets solved. I am willing to run any tests you guys ask of me. I am trying to find the root cause of this issue. I am very computer savvy, but can not figure this one out.

I would really appreciate your help. It would truly make my day.

Do you have a router/firewall between your modem and your computer? Is there a private network at your house or is your computer just connected directly to your DSL modem? Is the internet specifically dropping or is it your computer losing connectivity to the LAN? The way you would be able to tell this is when your computer "loses connectivity", can you still reach your modem/router/firewall?
