Hi,

Today I bought a Gigacube 9800 Pro 128mb card, for my system:

2.4c
512mb 3500 DDR in Dual channel
Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 Motherboard (based on 865PE).

The problem is performance. I tried 3DMark 2001SE, and I only got 12000 marks, and incredibly bad performance. I was told by others that they got similar scores with theirs, and they found some options in the BIOS to change that brought them up to ~17000-18000.

The extra molex connector is in, I've tried formatting and every driver under the sun, and I've tried the likely bios options and at the most have gotten 14000 marks. This obviously isn't a problem with the system, it's capable of a lot more, just I feel like an option is holding me back.

Can anyone suggest anything to try? I really need some help here 🙁

Thanks in advance

I would expect sth around 15000 for your system..17000-18000 sounds a little high for me..I think it can achieve by Overclocking your syste..

17000 to 18000 sounds crazy high for a P4 2.4... I think maybe your buddies were pulling your leg, or O/Cing like crazy.
