[SOLVED] I need help with my pc good, gpu bad cpu

I have a radon r7 360 and a fx6300 and I was looking around for an upgrade. I was looking at the Rx 580 but had one worry in mind if I got it. Would having the old fx6300 bottleneck the gpu and not perform the way I want it to and the way it should. Also if you have any other gpu in mind that i should get instead please let me know. Ps i don't really know much about computers.

What power supply do you have? Exact model or numbers on the sticker for +12V Amps rating.

The RX 580 will give you better performance than your R7 360; but you are right in that it will be limited by your CPU. You could still use it though and maybe plan a full system upgrade with new CPU/Mobo/RAM.

If you have a cheaper or smaller power supply, you might be better off with a GTX 1060 6GB. But, they are typically more expensive.

My power supply is a cx600m so I don't think that will be a problem. Thanks for the help. Also, i have a gigabyte 970A d3p is that a shit motherboard? Also what CPU and motherboard would you recommend that wouldn't make me go broke?

You have a decent motherboard, not terrible but not very fancy either. If you got a new CPU and motherboard, new CPUs use DDR4 so you would also have to get new RAM.
