I need help with my screen/new computer

Hi, so I recently built a computer, and today I plugged in a display. I used a DVI-D-HDMI cable, DVI to the screen, HDMI to the computer. At first it showed the analog thingy, but then I pressed source on the screen, and it switched from analog to digital several times, settled on digital, and now the power light is flashing and there is nothing on the screen. The screen is a Samsung Syncmaster E2420. No idea how old it is. Any help would be appreciated!
