I need help with video editors

So, I wanted to get into video editing for me and my friend. I installed a few video editors such as Movavi, Vegas trial version, and an adobe one too I'm forgetting the name atm. My problem is that whenever I try to edit or add clips into the editor, it freezes for up too 3 min and when it responds again, I'll maybe have 1 min to edit before it does it again. And most of the time, it will crash somewhere between the first 10 min. I have 10gb or RAM and a readon fx 8550 graphics cards. I run most video games I play on high or ultra. Such as csgo, the division, Arma 3, league of legends. I'm just not sure what I need to do. Thanks for the help guys!

Are all editors crashing or just one or two? What hardware do you have? i.e. MB, CPU, HDD. What OS are you using? What type of video are you editing? 4K? HD? SD?
