i need help

i have a amd fx 8120 3.10 ghz processor
8gb of ddr3 ram
gtx 660ti
asus crosshair V formula sabortooth something like that
i feel like my system is not preforming the way it should i play lol and its frames drop down to like 21 at times and i feel that it shouldn't. i havnt done any overclocking because i feel that it shouldnt be needed. how do i kno if i have the right settings like voltage and what not help would be great =D

An over clock would be greatly needed. The bull dozer CPUs are garbage. Your best bet would be to get an 8350 the pile driver CPUs are a lot better

Nice MoBo...no reason not to O.C...
And unfortunately the 8120 really isn't good for gaming...it can become viable after a very heafty O.C. though i suggest upgrading to even a 6300 if you can and then O.C. that.
Also, make sure you have an aftermarket cooler before O.C.ing.

is there a better processor i could get instead of that one then because i wanna switch to intel but i dont wanna spend the money

Just grab an 8320/8350 for 150-190 USD. It'll fit right into that mobo...O.C. it and you'll have a damn good CPU.
