Okay, I have this Windows 7 Intel computer, and I'm desperate to play games on it, but I'm inept when it comes to computer hardware. I need someone to tell me EXACTLY what graphics card to use.

My specs are:

Processor: Intel Core 2 CPU 6300 @1.86GHz 1.87GHz
System type: 32-bit operating system

That's all that it says when I right click Computer and click Properties. If you need any more details, please let me know and I'll try to look for them.

And you have no idea if her PSU and motherboard support this card !
the gtx 970 might just not even fit in her case
or her system might just go to pieces if she tries that so please dont mislead people!

And BTW Victoria if this is exactly whats written in your computer properties [Processor: Intel Core 2 CPU 6300 @1.86GHz 1.87GHz]
Then your cpu is running at its 50% i.e core multi-processing is disabled in BIOS . You can double the performance of your CPU by Enabling core multi-processing in BIOS!

With your help Saif Uv I managed to double my performance so thank you very much! However, I'm unsure as to how I can check my motherboard and power supply. How would I do that? Again, I'm a hardware noob so please forgive me.

Hmmmm youre Welcomee!
you should try opening the case and see the brand of power supply and no of watts it supplies!
And You could install CPU-Z for checking the motherboard or type dxdiag in "RUN"
Lemme guess . You have a pre-built system ??
if yes then tell me the the name and model no of the system e.g DELL optiplex 745[guessing] ??
