i want to upgrade my Motherboard and i know i need to reinstall windows but if i had windows 10 can i reinstall it to to windows 7 or do i need to reinstall it with a windows 10 Disc

You can download the Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft (https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10) and then use your Windows 7 product key to activate.

This is how I had to do it a couple months ago when I upgraded my motherboard/CPU.

If you upgraded to 10 from 7 or 8 and you had it installed over a month , your new key is your original windows 10 hardware profile , and with a board upgrade you now need a new license , unless Microsoft is willing to activate it for you.
