So my original problem was a noisy PSU. I bought a new one and realized it only had a 6pin PCIe "shit" I say and plug everything in with my old gpu and sure enough yes everything is quite. Obviously my old gpu won't cut it so I put everything back together the way I had it. Originally I was only using one of my 2, 4pin 12v connectors I couldn't remember why so I used both, turned on just fine but I had a black screen. I remember that happens before so I just used one, well now I have no visuals. Someone please help I don't know what's wrong:(

Solution
The fx has no igpu, so you'll have to do things the hard way.

From guru3d you'll need the ddu program, its a driver Uninstaller that works extremely well. You'll also need a fresh, clean copy of the nvidia drivers for the 970. With the old card in, run the Uninstaller for AMD, follow all directions exactly. When finished with the uninstall, shutdown, swap cards, you'll be in VGA 800x600 resolution, so best place to save nvidia drivers is directly to desktop. Run the drivers.

If, for some reason you can't enter safe mode, its possible the amd drivers are corrupted, in which case you may need to reinstall the amd drivers (just the drivers) and run the ddu for nvidia prior to doing the above.

Mobo: asrock 970 extreme3
Cpu: FX 8350
Gpu: asus gtx 970 strix
PSU: ATX CB700w
And I'm using Windows 8.1

My problem ia with the gpu my r7850 works but 970 does not, it has power and worked once after switching cars but I restarted my computer and it didn't work again. I think it's the drivers but I can't install drivers for Nvidia with my other card in and i can't launch in safe mode for some reason
