I am looking to build a low power HTPC that can also do fairly well for some gaming.
Here are the components I am looking at getting...
ASUS ROG STRIX B250H GAMING LGA1151 motherboard
Intel 7th Generation Core i7-7700T 35W
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200)
Seasonic FOCUS Plus Series SSR-550FX 550W 80+ Gold ATX12V & EPS12V Full Modular
Fractal Design Define C Black Silent Compact ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti SSC GAMING ACX 3.0, 04G-P4-6255-KR, 4GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support
Here is what I have now
Western Digital WD VelociRaptor WD1000DHTZ 1TB 10000 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
Intel 535 Series 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive
I will be using a 55" Visio 4K ultra TV and mostly stream video and I also want to try to game with this. It will replace an old core2 duo that is on it's last legs, Since it is on 24/7 I am looking to keep the power usage low and realize I will sacrifice performance in gaming.
Any suggestions would help.
Thanks
