I need sound from my pc monitor.

Hello, I'm gonna buy a 360 slim but I'm using my dvi monitor but i need to figure out how to get sound. I'm gonna get the xbox 360 dvi cable but i'm wondering if I get an audio converter so i can use my av cables to connect to the converter and then switch my pc sterio to the converter to get sound?

1. If your monitor does not have HDMI inputs, it does not have speakers built in, simple.

2. Which means your monitor will NOT output sound, heck, it can't without any speakers

3. You will need to use EXTERNAL speakers. You'll need HDMI (male) to go into your XBOX, and DVI for your monitor.

4. And you need to use an audio (RCA) cable to route audio to the input of external speakers.
