I need to build a computer system for around £250 not including the RAM, GPU or storage.

I'm quickly building a computer with my spare parts from a previous rig and these are the specs I've come up with so far.

Case: Corsair carbide series 300R
Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P AMD 970
CPU: AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core
Heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
PSU: Corsair CP-9020098-UK VS Series 650W

I'm unsure with the motherboard, in general if this will work and as to what else I might need to build it (any cables or things I might need). And the GPU I have is the AMD Radeon HD7870 2GB. If you could offer any advice I'd appreciate it, I'll be ordering the components this weekend and there is no way at the moment to flex on the budget as I need this rig working asap. Thank you in advance.

The fx 6300 is pretty weak I suggest a core i5. They are easy to find used a a lot better than the 6300 even the i5 2500.

I see, how much of a difference would that make and would the I5-3570 be a good pick? if it's under £100 I can manage it.
