i need to build a cpu mainly for gaming..and i have a budget of 30000INR (500$)

keep the dvd drive cheap..and hard disk of 320GB will be enough for me!

one thing to keep in mind about hard drives is, you might only need 320gb but the larger a drive is the faster it is. there are other factors of course but if you have 2 drives of the same type but one is larger, the larger will be faster.

the reason for this is amount of platters and data density. rpms are fixed so the higher the density the more data that is read.

additionally there is a price performance/size curve. the sweet spot on that curve is considerably higher than 320gb. ie, you can get a 1tb drive for near the price of a 320gb drive.
