I know this is an extremely nooby question, but i'm going to ask it anyways. If I have a moniter that maxes out at 1080p, Can I play games on that at 1440p? I know it's a crazy question, But I wanted to know because I didn't know if the 1080p max out was only for desktop, browser, and application usage, or it was anything being done on the computer. If I can play 1140p games on a 1080p moniter, than awesome, but if I can't could you tell me the name of the cheapest one in the range of 24" to 27". Thanks!

You can't set the resolution higher than the native one of the monitor. If a game can bet set to a higher resolution than that, you can play it just fine, but at the lower setting your monitor will support.

The max resolution that a monitor will run is just that, it's maximum for everything.

23-27" monitors sorted by price, find one you like, I suggest one with a 4 egg or higher average rating. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007617%20600416634%20600416635&IsNodeId=1&name=25%20-%2027%20inches&Order=PRICE&Pagesize=20
