I need to replace my DVD-RW+- drive.

I have a LG Super multi blue Blu-Ray Disc Rewriter: Model: BH10LS30. It will not play VCD ver 1, ver2.x, SVCD and copy protected CD's.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a brand or model numbers that play DVD+-RW's,
CD-R/RW's and VCD ver 1, ver2.x, SVCD, SACD's and copy protected CD's.

Do slim DVD drives (that are for laptops) fit into desktop towers? Do M-Discs really matter?

I found a few. Any information or recommendations are great:

- ASUS 24X DVD+/-R/RW Internal Drive (DRW-24B3ST)
- HP 24x Internal DVD/CD Writer (DVD1265I)

- ASUS DRW-24F1ST/BLK/B/AS
- Lite-On IHAS124-14 DVD±RW Drive
- LG GH24NSC0 24x Internal DVD Drive
- Samsung SH-224DB 24x DVD-Writer (This has a lot of the older CD formats)
- LG GH24NSB0 24x Internal DVD Drive
- LG GH24NS95-BK (Multiple formats. CD and M-Disc)

Thanks.

Just make sure you verify the interface... older DVD drives have the wide ribbon cable.. and newer ones only use SATA... If you are replacing it on a desktop... then you need to get one that fits into the slot... so a slim won't work...

I think all DVD burners work with all file types now... before... there were plus and minus version... but now... they all work with all media.
