Information About My Situation
I want to upgrade my GPU from an AMD Radeon™ HD 7750 to a NVIDIA GTX 970 but I have a problem. I think I need a bigger case which has got me worried. I feel confident enough to take my current computer apart but i'm worried that if i move it from one case to another it will break or I will make a mistake which I wont know how to fix.

My Current Computer

I need to know if its possible to get a GTX 970 in my current case or should I just get a new case.

Note: The paper in the computer on some screen shots it to represent the gtx 970

If I need to transfer my computer over to another case how do i go about doing it so I don't break anything/make a mistake that stops it working

Solution
Then youbare good mate - I strongly suggestca better PSU than the corsair vs.
For a tenner more that superflower hx is a no brainer IMO - excellent quality.
yes, your current computer case can fit a 970, however you'll run into the SATA cables on the back of the motherboard, if you can move that one cable to another sata plug you'd be 100% perfect with the current case. If you can't move that sata plug, a new case won't work either; its the motherboard that will be the problem.

Tight but it'll fit mate.
That obsidion is a nice case but dreadfully overpriced.

In all honesty I'd personally change the case as the cooling options don't look great for a 970but there are cases for £50 or so which will do a great job

Do you already own that vs650? - its not a great quality PSU - there are better options available for about a tenner more.

That particular card is 10.91" long.
The power connectors are on top, so you should have no issue installing.

If you want shorter, the EVGA GTX970SC is only 9.5" long, costs less, and has a higher boost clock.

If I see a problem, it is not with size, but with poor case airflow.
I do not see any intake fans in the case.

I might suggest a more modern M-ATX case with better ventilation.
This Silverstone ps-07 is an excellent case which I have used before.
Don't know why white is so much cheaper than black

On moving to a new case, just take your time, and do not force anything.
Take photos of where everything is connected so you remember where to reconnect.
Take the time to download and read the case instruction manual while awaiting delivery.

Pay particular attention to the front panel connections.
You will want your motherboard manual to find where the pins are.
LED leads are polarized,
power and reset switches are not.
No harm will come if you do not get them right.

I moved them all down by one
