Hello Everyone,

I just downloaded Windows7 Ultimate 64 bit, and I accidentally unplugged my main hard drive, so all of the data is corrupt. Thankfully, all of my saved games and movies are on a different drive. I was wondering, is there a way I could factory reset my ssd (Samsung 250g) and start from scratch? Also, my motherboard and other components are not damaged, correct?

- Thanks,
Cheez

I bough it from Amazon with a product key and everything. I had two hard drives. One, a samsung ssd, which is the corrupt hard drive, and also the western digital 1tb hard drive. I initially had WIndows 10 tehcnical preview, but then I went back to installing WIndows 7. WHen the system was on, I accidentally unplugged my ssd (this is the drive with the operating system on it) and it became corrupt. I have all of my games on the 1tb hard drive, but how do I fix my ssd, or reset it?

OK. I think we have a terminology disconnect...:)
Download - pulling something down from a remote website or other source
Install - Install an application or operating system on a computer

You installed, not downloaded. (and for FSM sake, why WIn 7 Ultimate??)

Anyway...
Start the OS install all over again.
Boot from the Windows DVD
When it asks where, select Custom
Whatever partitions it shows you, Delete
You are left with one large unformatted space
Format
Then let Windows install, creating what it needs.

And do this with ONLY the target drive installed. Disconnect any other drives, SSD or HDD.
