I have about $650 CAD and i want to upgrade to Intel but is the 4th gen cpu's still worth the money? I will plan on overclocking but i don't know what to buy/upgrade in my build for now. So any suggestions? Give me any component totals in CAD please. I do livestream so a good i7 or Xeon e3 is good to keep in mind.

My current setup:
CPU: AMD FX 6300 (6 Core Processor @3.5Ghz)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Mobo: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+
RAM: 8gb (2x4) @1333Mhz
GPU: GTX 750 TI GDDR5 2GB
PSU: Corsair CX500W (Non-Module)
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB
Case: Cooler Master Elite 431 Plus
OS: Windows 10 Home (64 Bit)

I would say that entirely depends on the use for your system. If games are the goal, it's absolutely worth it to upgrade to Intel as most of the current crop of high end games will take full advantage of the extra threads, and VR will also use it to the full extent. If not the 8350 is still a pretty competent processor for most uses even though it is a bit old, in some cases that would be worth it to upgrade to that rather than replace a perfectly working motherboard.

For one thing I'd definitely look at upgrading that PSU ASAP before buying any new upgrades like CPU or graphics card. You could also upgrade the graphics card. If you want to upgrade to an Intel processor I'd go with an i7-4790 and then upgrade your graphics card to a 970.
