I need verification for my build

Im a novice computer builder, and im about to order the parts for my first build. Before i place the order, i seek the advice of more advanced builders to make sure what im building is good.

Here are the parts :

CPU : Intel i5-4670k
GPU : MSI Geforce gtx 760
Motherboard : ASRock z97 Extreme4
RAM : Kinston HyperX 8GB
PSU : SeaSonic M12II 620W
HDD : Seagate Barracuda 1TB
SSD : Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB
Cooler : NZXT Kraken x40 all in one liquid CPU cooler
OS : Windows 8.1 64 bit
Case : NZXT phantom 410

I already have the monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Can I have a link to the GPU?
The 4690K is only 10-20$ more expensive, you should get that.
G.SKILL and Corsair make one of the best RAM, you should look into that.
Post your budget and I'll try to make a better build than the one you posted.

Assuming this is for gaming, do you have the budget to go up to a gtx770 (or R9 280X)?

If not, personally, I'd drop the SSD in favor of upgrading the GPU. Some may disagree. SSDs are great for windows boot times, game load times, but they don't help FPS at all. They are a luxury in my opinion and should not be added unless you have a solid GPU. The 760 is a great entry level GPU from the standpoint of running the latest graphically challenging games at 1080p without dropping below 60FPS. The 760 will hit that, but will make significant drops that will be noticeable at times.

Also, just to confirm, get 2x4Gb ram (not one 8Gb stick) so you are running in dual channel mode.

Looks good other than that, great choices!

Edit: I agree with zeyuanfu, get the 4690K. May as well get the latest cpu.

g.skill and corsair are brands, they do not make RAM. They purchase it from manufacturers like Samsung (among others) and stick a product label on them.

Thank you all for your quick answers. I wasnt informed of the newer cpu and i am thankful that you mentioned it.

From what i read, the general message would be to upgrade to the i5 4690k, get the geforce gtx 770 (which makes sense since its only about 350$ cdn on newegg) and get 2x4gb of ram.

I have just updated my build and removed the ssd. This resulted in an even lower price then before! (1245$ cdn instead of 1255$ cdn )

I will add the ssd later on if necessary.

One last thing, how will i transfer my os from the hdd to the ssd once i buy it?

Use a drive cloning software and then after, wipe the HDD.

Depending on what SSD you purchase, some of them come with migration software included.
