I ordered a laser powered mouse...

Did I just screw myself up when I bought the M65 Laser Powered mouse? I have a Razer Deathadder Chroma Optical Mouse and I wanted to get a mouse that matched my K95 RGB keyboard, which is why I ordered the mouse. However, I just read an article that laser mouse is inferior to optical mouse. Did I just screw myself up?

It's a mouse. Don't stress. If you don't like it, get a different one.

What you read is probably just some guy's opinion. I have and am actually using an M65 right now - it pairs beautifully with my K70 RGB.

I went from a G9 mouse(best mouse ever) which is a laser mouse to a Mad Catz Cyborg mmo7(optical) and absolutely hate it. basically if my subwoofer is turned up at all, the mouse drifts across the screens due to it picking up the vibrations. Trust me when I say DPI is not everything it is cracked out to be. Every so often, maybe once every 2 hours, I have to blow out the bottom of the mouse because a microscopic hair or dust catches the optical eye and it won't move.

My g9 was the most reliable mouse I've ever used, used it for 3 years 8 hours a day without problem, the optical I have I have daily problems with.

It is hard to say what is best.

Alright. Thank you for the opinion guys. I was worried for a second that I've wasted my money on this M65 gaming mouse. But the three of you actually made me feel okay about the mouse. It should be arriving on Monday.
