[SOLVED] I plan on getting a INTEL Core i5-9600K will it fit with my motherboard?

i plan on upgrading my pc. i am getting a rtx 2060 and i have been recommended that cpu
Gaming at what resolution at Hz? What RAM will you be pairing with it?

I would not pick any i5 today. Although it can achieve higher average FPS it already suffers worse lower FPS and time frame variance in some games that max out it’s 6 threads. I have literally just ordered parts for my own gaming pc upgrade and picked the 3700X as I see it as a much better option for the next few years gaming.

If you are upgrading your cpu to a modern intel 9th gen or ryzen 3000 series processor, you not only need to upgrade your motherboard, but you will also need to change to ddr4 ram.

I happen to like the intel 9600K processor. You will also want a Z390 based motherboard.
But many on these forums prefer ryzen for the cheap threads.

If your purpose is gaming, I tend to favor intel.
If your purpose is batch production, favor ryzen.
But, truthfully, any current gen processor in the $200 range paired with a $400 graphics card is going to game very well.

In addition to to the above mentioned 'must be 300 series mainboard' constraints...the 9600K , a 6 core/6 thread processor, is somewhat 'thread starved' for modern games even right out of the box', is d (or should be) rather a VERY hard sell with R5-3600 (a 6 core/12 thread CPU) available at sub-$190....
