If you haven't already bought any of this, that's good.
You should not build this right now, July 7th is supposedly when the new Amd Ryzen chips are coming out.
The SSD is quite old
Ram is a bit too slow, should be 3200

I am running a GTX 1080 and gaming at 1920x1080. Does quite well and looks real go. I have a laptop that is running a GTX 1070, and it looks and runs equally as good.

Amd loves faster ram dual channel it's just the way amd CPU are intels CPU it don't make as much of a difference . What monitor you pairing this with what refresh rates you after etc 🤔

2070 a very nice price point for what you get it's like a 1080 just a bit faster but it's newer so games will be more optimized for using it etc and has Ray tracing and dlss

completely up to you but 2080 and the 2080 ti the price to value point not as good as the 2070 if you dont mind the cost by all means more power the better for making a card have a much longer life span in terms of how much it can push . if you want competitive gaming a TN panel will do great high refresh rates and a lot cheaper than other types but colours tend to look washed out a bit . can then go more expensive like IPS panels better colour and better viewing angles but they are more expensive and generally to get higher refresh rates will cost you a fair bit 🤔

ps would as on the monitor pages they amazing at knowing there stuff on there 😁

Yes it does, or at least can. It makes around a 30% difference to minimum framerates in some of the games I play on the rig in my sig going from DDR4-2400 to DDR4-3333.

There's nothing wrong with the Samsung 860 Evo - it's a great SATA SSD. That said, typically the Crucial MX500, which is competitive in terms of performance and warranty with the Samsung, is usually available for notably less. Today, for example, at NewEgg, the 500GB version of the MX500 is available for the same price as the 250GB version of the 860 Evo.

All that said - @Alekan32 , while you're going with 1920x1080 144Hz for the monitor you want to get - you might also consider maybe a 2560x1080 - 21:9 aspect ratio instead of 16:9. DISCLAIMER: I've become something of an ultra-wide enthusiast, so I'm a bit biased. Ok, more than a bit biased! lol

But, also, is high-framerate gaming important to you? I mean, do you need to hit the really high frame-rates, or would you be happy, say, if you could maintain a constant 75fps all the time?
