I plugged pcie power pin into my psu's CPU power 2

I lost one of my pcie power connectors for my Evga 1000w and my cx smart 650 had a pcie power connector it wouldn't plug into the vga on my evga psu but it fit in the CPU power 2 slot, I haven't turned my of on yet but will this do damage to my gpu?

Do not power that system on. I repeat, do NOT do that.

Not only are PCIe and EPS connections not interchangeable, but you also cant use cables from other PSUs. Doing both could and likely would seriously damage your system. Contact EVGA about getting a replacement cable that you need.

You need to connect the right cables onto the motherboard and by reading what Gam3r01 has said then you need to unplug that cable out and get an replacement and do not turn on the computer!
