I recently purchased a Windows7 Pro key but after formatting my hard drive it gives error on same pc and hard disk what should I do to restore my previous registration

Not sure what your problem is. What exactly is the error you are getting? Post a screen shot if possible it is hard to say with just the info you gave.

Normally when you have trouble activating, You just have to call them up with the number provided on the activation screen(activate by phone).

Where did you buy it ? - Was it a legitimate place or somewhere like Ebay\Amazon that might be selling the same key to many people (where MS might have flagged it as pirated ?)
