I put a new hdd in the machine I built and a water cooler, when I boot up the machine all the fans spin and lights come on but

Black screen, no power and won't switch off, please help!

All of the fans spin, would that happen?

I'll give it a whirl.

(I've just read my message, it's wrong, what it should say is, the fans move, all lights up but the screen gets no signal and the power button doesn't switch the machine off)
