I really need some help

Hey guys , i need some help with a few things.
1)i bought the corsair xms3 1600mhz 4GB RAM but on bios it says 1333mhz so when switch it to the 1600mhz it would freeze on buys or my computer would turn of and on.

2)When i shut down my pc only the monitor would turn off and the pc would still be on,i dont know how to fix that ?

3)My Intel i5 2500k (not overclocked) is runing 90F to 100F i dont know why do i need to re apply thermal paste, i tried it twice ?

4) i wanna overclock my ssc gtx 970 i need some tips.

1. Do you know if your MOBO can support 1600 mhz? WHat is your MOBO?

2. Also, what is your PSU wattage?

I'll help answer more of the questions I just need to know that info.

Asus Sabertooth P67 , i can support it
my PSU is a corsair GS500 watt
