I rebooted my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, which is 8 years and now I can connect to the internet to download my recovery desk.

Your best option is to call Dell and get a set of recovery discs for your particular laptop

When you say "reboot" do you actually mean "format" or "reinstalled"?

You can get the drivers you need by downloading them on another system and running the driver setup on yours.
