I recently bought a pc and i'm having trouble pushing it to 120 frames. I'm so surprised, as I feel as if its underpeforming. I was wondering if there was a small setting I need to change or multiple settings to change that can increase the performance? also, would it be worth overclocking my cpu? I dont know too much about the subject and not too sure if its underpeforming or not. Also, I would like to note that i do have a 120hz monitor, and its properly set for 120 frames.

GPU- EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0
CPU- Intel i5 4690k @ 3.50ghz
RAM- 8gb
OS- windows 8.1

What frames are you getting if not 120?

If not much is going on it sits comfortably around 70-80, but when anything mega intense is going on it drops to as low as 38 frames, but this rarely happens and it only usually lowers to about 50.

Your card can't do 120fps on ultra, so that's why it won't do it, it can't. Look at the link at the fc4 benchmarks. Turn down the settings.
