Question I recently found an old laptop hdd (maybe have windows) and when i install it it will boot normally but after windows it will just be black.

When i use back my old secondary hdd(pc only have two sata(aio pc) it boot normally and when i tried the laptop hdd the black screen will appear again. Hdd still running but not detected in bios. Pls help

2. If you want to use it, hook it up as data drive, to access the drive.
3. If you can not access the drive even as data drive, the drive is dead.

Im going to use it as data drive but its still not booting and not appearing in bios and the boot option is in my ssd but will using a usb to sata will make it work?and also what is the black screens by the way.

1. When you try to boot off from HDD?
2. Or when you have it hooked to the system as data drive?

But black screen usually means that PC wasn't able to get all of the connected hardware to work, hence the "freeze" with black screen.

When is use it as data drive and always appear when windows is done loading.
