I recently installed a dual core cpu

my stupid bios sets up where my fan kicks off at 50or bellow, do itll kick on and off and on
my original cpu a tf-20 ran at 50c idle 60max
my new dual core runs warmer on the first core (tl-56)
and now max load hits 70c but never goes above (while the second core stays a degree lower)
is it normal for cores to be different temps
it is really difficult to take apart my laptop and redo thermal paste. should i worry?

update:
i was using the laptop on my lap gaming (dragon age) and it got to 83c

70c @ load is perfectly ok for a laptop CPU, and a variation of up to ~5c is normal.

Go in for some external cooling solution like a laptop cool pad... Also clean your vents

they are clean... i did that when i swaped the cpu out

From what AMD says, It "Should" be good up to 95(ouch). A difference from core to core is normal. I have a 4c difference from my lowest to highest.

Not sure about AMD, but I had an Intel Core Duo that for nearly 3 years reached close to 100C daily, I ran 3ds max and did a lot of rendering and other intense tasks on that laptop daily. lol

yes it is what i had before and wow it ran cold the core was at 17c idle

17C sounds unlikely - that would require your room to be colder than 60F.

i thik that cpu was really messed up or just the temp reading was well WRONG
