I recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite M35X-S329 Laptop which has an 80GB Hard Drive running Windows XP Home, I want to replace it with a compatible
500GB SSD. What model of drive would I need to purchase as a replacement.

Toshiba Satellite M35X-S329
Intel Pentium M Processor 725,
15.4” WXGA,
512MB, 80GB (4200 RPM),

Any SATA 6GB/s SSD under 500GB should work, but honestly, it's probably not worth it since the SSD is going to cost more than the Laptop is worth.

You're looking at between $60-$90 as an average, I've used the Adata SU series on several old upgrades since they are cheaper and adequate in life.

Samsung 860 Evo
SanDisk Ultra 3D
Crucial MX500
Western Digital Blue

Mushkin Source
ADATA Ultimate Series: SU630
ADATA Ultimate SU800 512GB

That Lappy does not have Sata ports, its old and had EIDE ports. It may even have the 137GB barrier as well due to its age.

While they did used to make a small few Eide SSD's, chances are you won't find them any more.

It can be adapter down but I did overlook the size limitations. Speed would also be a fraction of what any new drive is possible of doing.
