I recently upgraded my motherboard from a Gigabyte Ga-Z77-Ds3H to an MSi Z170A Gaming M7, my CPU from a 3rd Gen i7 to a 6th gen i7, my graphics card from an NVIDIA 660Ti to a 980 (both EVGA), but kept my old SSD with the copy of Windows 7 on it. I've removed the drivers for both the motherboard and video card prior to the swap, and made sure the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers were set to "Standard Duel Channel PCI IDE controller."
When I try to boot up normally, I get the usual Blue Screen followed by restarting. When I try to do either the system repair or boot from the CD, both my mouse and keyboard turn off, and I can't select any options, including reformatting. I've tried 3 different mouse and keyboard combos including the ones w/ drivers on the SSD. I can't find anyone else with this problem.
